Welcome to Awakened Warriors Men’s Circle

Mission Statement
Awakened Warriors is a diverse group of men who create safe space to challenge themselves and each other to live authentic lives of integrity and purpose.

Does your life feel like a balancing act?
As A Man Among Men
Awakened Warriors is more than a men’s support group. We are part of a growing international movement. Our Circle is based on the principles and practices of the ManKind Project, an organization that has been fostering personal growth among men all over the world since 1979. Awakened Warriors is an Integration Group (I-group) whose ongoing meetings are intended to continue the work that the ManKind Project has created, and to introduce men to the power of standing in a circle with other men.

How We Do It
Our Circle meets on a weekly basis, are free to attend, and we follow a format that is intended to create a safe space (or container) where men can share honestly and openly about their experiences, triumphs and struggles. Each meeting is led by an experienced member, who we call the King, and the flow of our evening happens in several segments, or rounds. Each round has a different purpose for strengthening the container, creating the atmosphere of trust and support.
What To Expect
Awakened Warriors men’s circle is an open group. We welcome and encourage visitors. Over the course of an evening and its rounds, opportunities arise for men to share their feelings––spanning from joy to anger to sorrow––many times it’s the first time a man has let down his guard in front of others for a long time. Sometimes there is shouting, often there are tears. “All of you is welcome here,” is a line you might hear repeated.
Our Circles
Our weekly meetings are held in North Atlanta, in the Druid Hills neighborhood at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church. Although we meet at a church, we have no designated religious affiliation. Our meetings begin promptly at 7pm and end by 9:30pm.
